Mrs. SCHLEICHER

Welcome to 4th grade!! I am excited to get to know you and be your teacher this year.

I am thankful to be part of God's family, and I am grateful each day for His mercy and grace. Through life's ups and downs, we can cling to His hope and strength. I look forward to growing together in our faith this year.

I have been married to my amazing husband, Matt, for 21 years. Matt is an assistant principal at Concordia Lutheran High School in Tomball. I have three awesome boys. My oldest, Ian, is in 10th grade at Concordia. Ryan (7th grade) and Nathan (4th grade) both attend Trinity. We have one feisty, energetic white dog named Leo.

I have been a member of Trinity church since 2006, and this will be my 8th year on staff in various roles. I'm excited to continue this year in my favorite role -- teaching 4th grade. I have also served as eLearning Coordinator, taught 5th grade math, and taught 6th-8th grade (math, reading, and Spanish) at Trinity. Before staying home with my children for 10 years, I taught 5th grade in a Lutheran school in Birmingham, Michigan.

I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as a pastor's daughter. I attended Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. I got my BS in Elementary Education in 2001 and my Masters' in Literacy Education in 2006 from Concordia. A fun fact about me: My husband and I got married at the same time as my sister, who married my husband's brother in a double wedding ceremony. Our siblings work at Salem, where Jason is a pastor and Amy teaches 4th grade.

In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, jog, read, travel, and play board games.  I love Italian food, anything chocolate, chai tea, and Amazon!
